Dingy Skipper
The small dingy skipper requires sites with a warm microclimate, short vegetation and shallow soils. Many colonies exist on semi-natural habitats, principally unimproved dry grassland and limestone. However, populatoins also exist in semi-natural environments including abandoned quarries and pits, woodland clearings and so on.
The overall prospects for the main semi-natural habitats are poort and many of the occupied sites are considered to be marginally suitable and at risk, so further population reduction in the future is considered likely.
